I didn't run this weekend, I wish I had, but I just didn't have it this weekend. I did go to yoga with my friend Pam who came to visit me on Friday night and stayed over. I did watch episodes of Friday Night Lights (we're on the last season). I did get to go to lunch with Pam, and I went grocery shopping. However grocery shopping is not going to get me across any finish line. I searched races that I wanted to do, and then had a little pity party when I realized that I haven't run more than 2.25 (slow) miles since December. I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to get out there, even though I know I will feel better after and I will not regret it.
I'm so over winter and the snow that seems to be coming daily. I need sunshine and warm temps. I'm tired of the cold.
It's such a Monday. I had a student tell me this afternoon that "Garfield hates Mondays".
Tomorrow is a new day.
Yes. I am so tired of cold and wind.
ReplyDeleteSounds like not the best day. I went to get my mammogram and wasn't enjoying it but thought of you and all you do without complaining so I told my mind to quit whining and just deal. There was a girl training and instead of being irritated I thought about student teachers and how they need to learn. Thanks for the help you didn't know you were giving me!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping for some spring weather and better days to help you get out there running once you are feeling like you can.
It's already closer to the weekend.
Teaching everyday... Christa, I admire your strength and your honesty. Admitting that some days are friggin Mondays, takes courage. Miss you. Dawn
ReplyDeleteMondays are not my favorite either! There is just something about them that is the pits. The running will come back. This weather does not encourage it one bit! As always, if you want a running buddy let me know. We could always do a treat afterwards :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the snow does seem to keeps coming doesn't it? I love it and all but I think I love the idea of spring more at this point!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for not running in the cold. It's been a rough winter!
